Artefact (or artifact in US) is an "object produced or shaped by human craft, especially a tool, weapon, or ornament of archaeological or historical interest." It is also something viewed as a "product of human conception or agency". Here is a list of artifacts that have appeared throughout this site. Have a look at them, they will also give you further links to worksheets or other pages that will tell you either who wrote about, invented, or made them. As per definition above, not all artefacts mentioned here are actual objects; some are concepts that are used in objects; some are famous books on mathematics or related to it. All of these artefacts may be found in varous places and have been invented throughout the time... Investigate and see! If you click on the names of people that will take you to the biographies of inventors/authors; of you click on the name of an object/artefact, that will take you to the pages which desribe them:
